In this recording of the webinar on updates to US trade and tariff policies, Anthony Buckley examines the latest developments in U.S. trade measures and their global impact. He provides insight into the recent tariff measures imposed by the US on imports from China, Mexico and Canada, as well as the retaliatory measures taken by the affected countries. The discussion also looks at the economic impact on industry and the European Union's response and reciprocal tariff policy. Anthony addresses key issues relating to tariffs, VAT and World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules and provides insights into the wider impact on international trade.

He also briefly addresses some other topics from the February news, e.g. ‘omnibus packages’ for simpler regulation.

The author looks at how import and export volumes and geography depend on the existence of preferential agreements.
