Outcome
After taking this course, the learner shall:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the steps and tasks associated to successfully move goods under the transit procedure through the Union;
- Understand the division of the roles and responsibilities related to moving goods using the transit procedure;
- Understand the risk of non-discharge of the procedure and the importance of the alternative proof of termination of a transit procedure;
- Know the simplifications (comprehensive guarantee, guarantee waiver, authorised consignor/ condignee) and what is required to apply for the relevant authorisation.
Time
Please plan to dedicate around 4 hours to complete this course.
In the case the customs office of destination doesn’t notify the customs office of departure about the arrival of goods, the only acceptable proof for the proper ending of the transit procedure is the alternative proof.
